Points to Ponder While Purchasing The Used Cars

It is necessary to keep an eye on the used cars before purchasing it so that there shouldn’t be any kind of problem in the near future. Some of the points that must be pondered before going to buy cars of the second hand state are: -

a. During the inspection of the cars open all the hoods and doors of the used cars. Always look for the certified stickers which are there on the cars which provide the assurance that the car is not stolen.

b. On the car there is also a sticker which tells about the history of the car. The name of the sticker is Check-Auto which describes about the service done of the car.

c. Also check the oil dipsticks for sludge and dirt. If they are clean then it means that the car is well maintained. Also, the transmission dipstick can also be checked. If some kind of foul smell is found in the transmission then it means that it is not maintained.

d. The best way to check the transmission of the used car is by putting the foot on the brake of the car and then holding the brake for some time. Then put the car is in the drive state and reverse the car in order to notice some clunking noise or some kind of slipping feeling when the brakes are hold. If there is excess of noise from the transmission of the car then it means that there exists some problem, so stay away from that used car.
